About the Chef
Café Modern, named by Gourmet Magazine as one of the nation's top restaurants, is nestled in the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Prided in serving cuisine that is not only artful and delicious, the Café staff strives to serve food that is also ecologically sustainable.
Executive Chef Dena Peterson, a Fort Worth native, enjoys utilizing locally grown and crafted products, from cheese to peaches. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Peterson has returned to her hometown after working in several areas of the states, including Susan Spicer's Bayona Restaurant in New Orleans, and Cooking Light Magazine. Her inventive global cuisine with a touch of southern flair is a favorite throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
